(I want to tell you a story)

Like old Pulp stories of The Wild Western Heroes, there are multiple realities, where the truth and exaggerated truth walk in parallel, stories designed to entice the inner response and elevate the possibilities of existence. The first language reveals itself in visual expression, the deity was a circle and man a dot within, images conveying the thought process, solidifying the idea for understanding, where artists interpret these visions in the pursuit of clarity, or disguise for divine intention, within elaborate hidden pictorial wisdom. William Simpson displays a selection of his work that continues in the vein of cave painting and hieroglyphic ancestry, expressive stories in pictures, images that orate, a language of feeling and emotion and much more than basic information delivery.
